Wearables? 90's to…yesterday

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wearcompevolution.jpg

On Friday July 30th, if you aren’t already strolling through Maker Faire Detroit, come out to the space and play with some old-skool on-the-go daily-living computer interface tech including the latest Vuzix AR glasses and Twiddler.

This is a free open to the public event so come out and bring your friends.  Doors will be open at 7pm.  HackPittsburgh is located at 1936 5th Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221, in the garage around back.

Drat, I’m going to be out of town. This sounds very interesting, wish I could be there.

For those of you who missed it, I think the discussion went well and I think a few follow up sessions and projects are likely. To sorta recreate my presentation, you can delve into the following web resources:

    http://wearcomp.wikia.org/ (The Rigs page, especially)
    http://www.vuzix.com/iwear/products_wrap920.html
http://handykey.com/ (And the parent TekGear site)

    Enjoy

Nice talk, I’m looking forward to the follow ups.

Just discovered this at lunch today, aside from “not stealthy” it seems to be in the ballpark:
