Thursday July 31st – Detroit Maker Faire 2014 Recap

Come to HackPittsburgh Thursday, July 31st for a recap of the 2014 Detroit Maker Faire. We will start the talk with photos and video from the event, including the always exciting Power Wheels race, where we cram full-sized adults into kid-sized cars and race them at speeds that are sure to void the warranty. Following the show and tell, we will open the floor to general questions about the event and what you can do to participate in the future.

This is a good time to find out about some of the group projects we do at the shop and some of the opportunities you have to participate in the maker community. We will also discuss ideas for future maker faire projects – get your ideas in today so we can put them off until two weeks before maker faire next year!

Doors open at 7pm, the event starts shortly there after. We’re located at 1936 5th Avenue, in the garage around back on Watson. Look for our flag above the door.
