Fri Mar 1: Intro to Amateur Radio
Amateur Radio operators (Hams) were arguably the first electronics makers back before “maker” was ever a “thing” that society forgot and then re-discovered. “The Internet” (those pesky Tubes) made a lot of Ham activities seem obsolete.
Join us for a short introduction by Gene KB3JHR on what can done be with an amateur radio license, these days, after you pass the tests.
The primary discussion will be the question and answer session after the slideshow and video.
Free and open to the public! The doors open at 7pm, the talk starts at 7:30.
We’re located at 1936 5th Avenue, in the garage around back on Watson.
Look for our flag above the door.
