DIY Wind Turbines
Ever wish you could build something to harness some of the power out of the wind? Come to the shop on June 22nd, @ 7pm when HackPittsburgh member Gabe will be giving a talk about making small, low-cost wind turbines out of recycled or found items. The talk will include descriptions and information going from the types of poles, blades, and generators. These small turbines are good for use in off-grid power generation, in developing areas, or in case of a power emergency.
Free & open to the public.
Doors open at 7pm, event starts shortly thereafter.
We’re at 1936 Fifth Avenue, in the garage around back (on Watson).
Look for our flag over the door.
