Bronze Casting!

Join us tonight,  Friday June 1st, for a demo of the ornamental bronze casting process using cuttlebone.  We will begin with a brief discussion followed by a demonstration of the casting process.  You will then have the opportunity to carve your own molds, which we will use to cast your custom piece to take home at the end of the night.

Cuttlebone is a natural material that can withstand the high temperature of casting but can take an impression from simple shapes and is easily carved.  The nature of the cuttlebone also leaves a texture on the surface of the cast piece that is unique to the process.

Supplies are limited and will be available on a first come-first serve basis.

Free & open to the public.
Doors open at 7pm, event starts shortly thereafter.
We’re at 1936 Fifth Avenue, in the garage around back (on Watson).
Look for our flag over the door.
