Making
As Pittsburgh’s oldest makerspace we have been educating, sharing resources, and helping our community grow within the maker movement for nearly a decade!
Learning
From our open classes to our community events, we encourage fixing things instead of replacing them and finding meaningful solutions to everyday problems.
Community
HackPGH understands that making starts with the community. Sharing knowledge and skills to help each other and the community is a tenet of HackPGH.
Get Involved
Like making things? Want to learn a new skill? Interested in meeting like-minded folks to collaborate with on new projects? Then you should totally become a member! Here are some of the benefits:
- 24/7 access to the shop and all the tools and resources therein. (There are other tenants in the building, so anything that would generate strong odors, or make a lot noise between Midnight and 8am are to be avoided.)
- Discounts on HackPGH classes and workshops.
- Regular meetups and activities with likeminded people.
- Field trips to events such as Maker Faires, Dayton Hamvention, etc.
Tours are held every Monday and Saturday at 7:30pm (walk-ins welcome, but RSVPs are preferred). If you are interested in joining HackPGH please come by for a tour at one of these times. If you are unable to make it during these times please feel free to contact a board member to schedule a tour. Training on tools and equipment may be offered by appointment only immediately after tours at 8:00pm so that new members can get to making as soon possible!
